Quality Assurance Associates play an important role within licensed production facilities under the Cannabis Act. As a QAA you will provide quality control support to cultivation, harvesting, processing, and other departments to ensure compliance with Health Canada and other applicable regulations.
This training program provides students with an introduction to key concepts and ideas around quality assurance in this highly regulated industry. Successful completion of this program will prepare students for an entry-level quality assurance position within a licensed production facility working under the Quality Assurance Person (QAP).

Suggested Background:
Participants should be generally familiar with quality systems and procedures (testing, recording and reporting). Quality systems experience in the food, pharmaceutical, manufacturing or related industries would be beneficial.

Quality Assurance Associate /
Apprentice Level
This badge represents that the student has achieved competency in the subject matter at the level for which it was awarded.
Students learn to monitor and update quality operational Standard Operating Procedures and related documentation to meet or exceed Health Canada Regulations and other jurisdictional requirements.
The duration of this course is 4 weeks. This course is one of four courses that comprise our Quality Assurance Associate program. You must complete all of the courses to achieve your badge:

Tuition: $2900 + tax
Students learn to monitor and inspect product, processes, facilities, equipment and supply chain inputs to ensure compliance to specifications. Support continuous process and quality improvement initiatives in all operations.
The duration of this course is 2 weeks. This course is one of four courses that comprise our Quality Assurance Associate program. You must complete all of the courses to achieve your badge:

Students will be instructed on how to prepare documentation and support Regulator inspections to maintain Health Canada certification licence.

Students will be instructed on how to monitor compliance with the Quality Management System, perform risk assessments, investigate non-compliances and deviations, use analytical data and test results to approve or reject product, monitor post-market surveillance and track and investigate customer complaints and co-ordinate recalls as necessary.
