New classes of cannabis including edible cannabis, cannabis extracts and cannabis topicals will be added to the Cannabis Regulations on October 17th, 2019. The production and sale of these products will be exclusive to the Processor Class licence (micro or standard).
As of May 8th, 2019, applications for Cultivation, Processing and Sale (with possession) will only be reviewed once an Evidence Package is submitted. If your application and Evidence Package is submitted after October 17th, 2019, all requirements of the new regulations will need to be included.
If you would like to submit a Processor application to produce/sell the new classes of cannabis please connect with your CCI Business Development Consultant to discuss next steps.
If you have already engaged CCI in a Processor application but it will not be submitted until after October 17th, 2019, please contact your CCI Business Development Consultant for a proposal to develop the bridging documentation which demonstrates compliance to the updated Cannabis Regulations. An application submitted after October 17th, 2019 must meet the new regulatory requirements.
