As of May 8th, 2019, applications for Cultivation, Processing and Sale (with possession) will only reach active review once an Evidence Package is submitted. If you do not receive a licence by October 17th, 2019, during active review of the application (once Evidence Package is submitted) Heath Canada will request additional information to show compliance of the new regulatory requirements.
Updated regulations primarily impact the Processor Class however, additional information may be requested from all licence classes as the updated regulations impact each class to some degree.
In preparation for active review, CCI can support you in developing the bridging documentation which demonstrates compliance to the updated Cannabis Regulations. Although this information can be prepared in advance, it will only be submitted to Health Canada upon request during active review.
Please connect with your CCI Business Development Consultant to discuss next steps. Ensure your application type (cultivation, processor, etc.) and future product classes (extract, edible, topical, dried, etc.) are confirmed.
High Level Overview:
*Pending security clearance, presentation of Evidence Package to Licensing Panel, response and acceptance of all RFI/RMI, compliance to all applicable regulatory requirements, etc.
