Hosted at the University of Guelph campus in collaboration with the Controlled Environment Systems Research Facility, Cannabis Compliance Inc. is pleased to present a Cannabis Primer course for individuals looking to gain insight into the production component of this emerging industry.

This training program provides students with the necessary skills and abilities to meet standard operating procedures in all job functions. Students are instructed on how to properly manage; soil preparation, propagation, transplanting, watering/fertigation, defoliation, trimming and pruning, harvesting, and inventory management. Other topics include; monitoring and inspecting crops to determine plant health (identifying pests and disease), taking pest control measures to maintain crop health, and cleaning and sanitizing production rooms and equipment.

Suggested Background: Generally, participants should be familiar with horticulture or similar industry (agricultural, food, pharmaceutical) operations. Experience in greenhouse and/or agricultural operations would be beneficial.
