Dispensaries and Retail

While retail dispensaries are still illegal, we can provide the
strategic planning necessary so you’ll be ready in 2017.

For retail sales, this decision is within the discretion of the provinces. However, some provinces we expect to keep the “dispensary” model, such as British Columbia, where the communities have been accustomed to these. Pharmacies are expected to get pre-packaged medical cannabis sales (with the possibility of dispensing in the near future).

What all of this means, is the creation of thousands (if not in the many thousands) of new cannabis retail businesses starting in the next few years. While advertising is expected to continue being prohibited (as well as requiring plain packaging of cannabis products), the retail component will be a significant driver of sales.

CCI will begin offering retail consulting packages in the late spring of 2017 to ensure compliance and preventative measures are in place.
