Cannabis Compliance Inc.’s Sr. Cannabis Consultant, has served as Head Grower for Tweed Farms which operates a 350,000 ft2 fully licensed and approved glass greenhouse facility in Ontario. Through his experience in the retro-fit and build out of a large commercial greenhouse facility, he can provide insight on how to develop a sanitation program and compliance throughout a greenhouse facility.
Our Sr. Cannabis Consultant, has more than 20 years of commercial greenhouse growing experience to offer to the CCI team of professionals. With a strong commercial production background, he has gained knowledge on management, record keeping, good production practices (GPP’s), commercial growing techniques, pest and disease prevention, efficient workflow and logistics.
Our Sr. Cannabis Consultant is familiar with all aspects of a commercial greenhouse operations. From propagation to harvest, adaptation of automated functions, nutrient mixing room, water re-circulation and treatment systems, Co2 injection and industrial heating systems (e.g. Natural gas boilers, biomass combustion systems)
The greenhouse concept can offer energy efficiencies over a warehouse model, in regards to less energy consumption from grow lighting and HVAC systems. High-tech commercial greenhouse production facilities have been utilized in the production of fresh vegetables, fruits and ornamental floral products for many years. The quality and intensity of light levels given off from the natural sunlight are unrivaled by artificial light sources used for indoor productions.
The indoor models produce year-round consistent results. On the other hand, the greenhouse models can take advantage of the higher light levels during the summer months to produce higher yielding plants during those crop cycles. We can recommend greenhouse designs based on low cost seasonal operations.
Alternatively, we can aid in designing a high-tech greenhouse solution able to produce year-round high quality product. With the use of supplemental grow lighting and light deprivation curtains (aka. Black-out curtains) giving the grower the advantage to program crop cycles similarly to indoor crop schedules. High tech greenhouses can be fitted with humidity control and odor control aspects to enhance and regulate the growing experience.
